AISO: ChatGPT Visibility Check, published by Bity LLC (AISO Tools). Last updated 21 October 2026.

What the app reads from your store

The app requests one Shopify access scope, read_products, and uses it only to read your products' product types, which decide what the shopping questions ask about. From your shop settings it reads your store name, description, contact email and primary domain. It does not read orders, customers or any customer personal data.

What it stores

Your store name, primary domain and contact email; the questions asked and ChatGPT's results for each check (score, which stores were named); any Fix Pack built for you; whether the monitor plan is on; and a log of install, plan and check events. Shopify session tokens are stored so the app can work inside your admin.

Who it shares data with

To run a check, your store name, primary domain, product types and description are sent to AISO Tools (aisotools.com, also operated by Bity LLC), which asks OpenAI's API the shopping questions and reads your public homepage, robots.txt and llms.txt. OpenAI receives the questions, which name your product category, and — for the Fix Pack — your store name and your homepage's own text. Monitor reports are emailed to your store's contact email through Resend. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.

Deleting your data

When you uninstall, the app deletes your session tokens and stops all checks. Shopify then sends a shop/redact request (48 hours later), and the app deletes everything it stored about your store — readings, Fix Packs, your profile and email — and keeps only an anonymised install count. To ask for deletion sooner, email shibley@apistatuscheck.com.

What the results are

Results come from ChatGPT's model (OpenAI gpt-4o-mini) asked through the API. Answers vary between runs and can differ from the ChatGPT app with web search. Nobody can promise that ChatGPT will recommend a store.
